St Louis, Missouri-based live online learning platform Nerdy has appointed Molly Sorg as vice-president and head of investor relations, to help with the company’s financial market strategies and serve as the primary point of contact for investors and analysts.

Sorg was previously senior vice -president investor relations, chief purpose and sustainability officer at Vistra Corp, a retail electricity and power generation company, where she managed investor and policy issues, as well as overseeing the company’s purpose and sustainability efforts and environmental, social, and governance strategy.

Before that, Sorg held a variety of legal and investor relations positions across the energy and healthcare sectors, including as an attorney at both Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and Vinson & Elkins, two law firms.
